1921 Bhishma Pratijna, a silent movie was made by Raghupati Venkaiah Naidu.
15 September, 1931 Bhakta Prahlada, Telugu film with sound, talkie, was released in Crown theatre in Kakinada, Gaiety theatre in Madras, Minerva Talkies in Machilipatnam and Maruti Talkies in Vijayawada. The film was produced by H.M. Reddy.
In 1934, Seetha Kalyanam was made in Madras.
